Differing from many residency programs, where community is formed amongst large cohorts in bucolic settings, the Cloud House Residency will host a single artist or two partners at a time in an urban environment. Hosting a single resident at a time will give the Cloud House the flexibility to work closely with each guest to customize their stay according to their needs. Visiting artists will be encouraged to seek and nurture connections with various artist communities, stakeholders, and institutions in the Twin Cities. Aided by the expertise of its board and employees, the residency will facilitate introductions between visiting artists and local artists, curators, writers, scholars, institutions, arts organizations and galleries.
